About Me

I'm a Computer Science student at IU International University of Applied Sciences in Germany. With 2+ years of experience leading volunteer teams and analyzing engagement metrics, I’ve developed a passion for structured problem-solving, data analysis and continuous learning.

Originally from Kazakhstan, I’m fluent in Russian, Kazakh, English and improving my intermediate-level German skills. I’m currently exploring ways to combine technical skill with real-world impact through projects in Python, Java and SQL.

My Projects

AirBnB-like database

The Airbnb Database Management System facilitates seamless interactions between guests, hosts, administrators and properties, ensuring data integrity and optimized performance

U.S. State Finance Forecast

Analyzed and forecasted U.S. government spending using ARIMA models with confidence intervals.

Netflix Titles — Data Cleaning & EDA

This project analyzes Netflix's public dataset to explore trends in content types, genres, countries, and release timelines.

📚 My Current Learning Goals: Power BI and Machine Learning

To build a well-rounded data science profile, I’m now focusing on two areas:

1. Power BI: I want to get better at creating dashboards and interactive reports that communicate data clearly to non-technical audiences.

2. Machine Learning: I’m learning how to build supervised ML models using scikit-learn to complete projects and apply MI techniques on real datasets.

📺 Exploring Netflix with Data: My First EDA Project

Netflix Titles dataset was my first full end-to-end data cleaning and exploratory data analysis (EDA) project.

Some highlights:
- Cleaned missing and inconsistent values
- Identified the most frequent genres
- Visualized how Netflix content additions spikes

This project helped me to see EDA as an essential first step in any data-driven project.

📈 Forecasting U.S. Government Spending with Time Series Analysis

I used time series analysis and ARIMA to forecast U.S. government spending based on historical financial data.

Key takeaways:
- Aggregated and visualized spending trends
- Built and tuned an ARIMA model
- Plotted forecasts with confidence intervals

The amount of data preparation before modeling showed me that understanding the data is just as important as building the model.
